Quality Assurance Engineer
As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and timeliness of application releases, unit test verification and system-level testing.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the product life-cycle from design to release
- Work closely with development team in preparing test environments, producing detailed test scripts
- Work with technical support and core development engineers to test and address product usability, reliability, functionality, and performance-related issues
- Write advanced test cases to perform backend testing
- Perform some white box testing
- Document and track software defects
- Provide regular written project status updates to project team
- Design, develop and run automated and/or load tests
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in software development, with work on entire product lifecycle
- Strong technical background (CS degree preferred)
- Experienced with Access, SQL and Oracle
- Very detail-oriented, especially as to how the details work within a whole system
- Ability to troubleshoot bugs and possibly recommend workarounds to development and support
- Comprehensive understanding of QA processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using standard QA software tools
- Ability to effectively communicate with developers and other staff
