    Quality Assurance Engineer

    As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and timeliness of application releases, unit test verification and system-level testing.

    Responsibilities

    • Participate in the product life-cycle from design to release
    • Work closely with development team in preparing test environments, producing detailed test scripts
    • Work with technical support and core development engineers to test and address product usability, reliability, functionality, and performance-related issues
    • Write advanced test cases to perform backend testing
    • Perform some white box testing
    • Document and track software defects
    • Provide regular written project status updates to project team
    • Design, develop and run automated and/or load tests

    Desired Qualifications

    • 2+ years experience in software development, with work on entire product lifecycle
    • Strong technical background (CS degree preferred)
    • Experienced with Access, SQL and Oracle
    • Very detail-oriented, especially as to how the details work within a whole system
    • Ability to troubleshoot bugs and possibly recommend workarounds to development and support
    • Comprehensive understanding of QA processes
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience using standard QA software tools
    • Ability to effectively communicate with developers and other staff
