Datacap Releases Taskmaster
6
New
release enables easy configuration to fit business
processes
On June 7, Datacap will release Taskmaster 6, a
significant enhancement of our flagship capture product for data and
document capture. With its unique, rules-based architecture,
Taskmaster 6 provides users with complete control over the entire
capture process. Drawing from a library of hundreds of pre-built
rules, users can integrate a capture solution that fits their
business process – from scanning and recognition to validations and
export – without expensive scripting.
Integrated Product Set
Taskmaster 6 customers will have access to the
benefits of all Datacap technology, which is now folded into one
integrated product set. Datacap’s innovative Paper
Keyboard®, DocEdit, Task Master Web, and the Business Document capture
system (BDOcs) are all standard in Taskmaster 6.
Now, one product offers organizations an expert
system for capturing standard forms as well as unstructured
documents. Inputs include scan, fax, and e-mail. And the industry’s
most flexible architecture enables implementation on a standard
network, over the web, and even inside FileNet Capture and Kofax
Ascent Capture environments. As before, Datacap software licenses
authorizes you to run specific software products on a fixed number
of workstations or servers.
Rules enable easy
configuration
In Taskmaster 6, “rules” are predefined sets of
actions that control every step in the capture process. Taskmaster
rules are configured by users via a user-friendly GUI, which means
no programming is required. However, if you need to make
modifications or add new rules, Taskmaster Rules are written in
Microsoft VBScript, so that even advanced customization can be
achieved quickly and inexpensively.
Taskmaster rules control the batching of documents
after scanning, eliminating pre-sorting. They determine which
recognition engines are used and in what order, optimizing accuracy.
They execute business validation rules to assure integrity of
captured data. They format data and enable export of data and images
to a wide variety of storage repositories and Legacy
systems.

Cutting Edge
Solutions is Newest Datacap Reseller
To paraphrase a
blues song, Datacap is going to Kansas City. Cutting Edge Solutions
is a new Imaging Reseller in KC, which offers the highest quality
document management products to business and government clients. CES
was founded by Jameson Nunn and Jack Roberts, two experienced
players who understand the value of technology combined with
excellent service.
“Our mission is to constantly evaluate the latest technology
available in the industry that will enable us to provide the most
cost-effective solution for our customers,” says Roberts. “We like
offering Datacap, because it makes the industry’s most powerful and
comprehensive software for automated data entry and document imaging
applications.”
Former Datacap employee, Jack Roberts ought to know. He has
refined his expertise over the years with such imaging VARs as
Doctex (now KnowledgeLake) of St. Louis and Information Access
Systems of Orlando, Florida, where he sold and implemented some
large-scale Datacap systems.
CES will be integrating Datacap with its lineup of imaging
products, which includes scanners from Canon, Fujitsu and Kodak and
document management solutions from FileNet and OnBase.
CES is already on the boards with their first Datacap
installation at Applied Measurement Professionals of Lenexa, Kansas.
AMP provides survey-based feedback to business and government
customers. Now, Datacap Taskmaster is helping AMP to process surveys
faster and at less cost than ever before.
