Datacap Releases Taskmaster for Medical Claims 7.6

Newest Version of Claims Capture Software

Datacap has been at the forefront of medical claim capture since the introduction of Datacap HCcs (Health Claim capture system) in 1999.  Ten years later, Datacap is releasing the latest version of the software solution that automates data entry for CMS 1500 and UB-04 medical claims, helping insurance payers and Third Party Administrators reduce cost, raise accuracy and accelerate turnaround.

Taskmaster for Medical Claims 7.6 brings all the latest innovations in Taskmaster and Rulerunner Service to bear on the task of claims processing.  This new version is the first to take advantage of Datacap's Rulerunner Service architecture, with recognition, validation, and export rules configured in the Datacap Studio environment.

New features of note:

  • Supports and includes Web-based Verify screens
  • New recognition engine improves OCR accuracy
  • Basic HIPAA-compliant 837 export is now the default output (configuration required for customer's business & adjudication system)
  • Rulerunner Service architecture makes Taskmaster for Medical Claims compatible with future Datacap products, such as Datacap DotEdit - a .NET-based verification panel builder

Taskmaster for Medical Claims 7.6 is scheduled for general availability in June 2009.  To learn more about the new release, please send an e-mail to sales@datacap.com.

Recorded Webinar: Invoice Processing at Exel Transportation

Controller says Taskmaster cut Processing Time in Half and Reduced Staff by 70%

David Bailey, Controller of Exel Transportation Services (ETS), recently joined Datacap for a Webinar to look at Accounts Payable automation with Taskmaster.  ETS is a large division of DHL that provides Supply Chain solutions. In 2007, ETS implemented Datacap Taskmaster for Invoices to help automate processing of 6,000 invoices and attachments per day.

Two years later, Mr. Bailey recounts the decision making process and, more importantly, the benefits to ETS, including a 50% reduction of processing time and a staff reduction from 24 to 7.

In this free, 45-minute recorded webinar, Mr. Bailey recounts all the important aspects of the application, including the initial investment, the actual ROI, and ETS' plans for the future.  The ETS profile is followed by a comprehensive demonstration of Datacap's latest invoice porocessing solution, Taskmaster APT.

Datacap Seeking FastDoc Beta Testers

Test out the new Automated Indexing Solution From Datacap

FastDoc Capture is the new mid-level document capture solution that uses recognition to automate indexing, and yet requires no complicated set-up, like comparable recognition-enhanced products.

Datacap is releasing a Beta version of FastDoc Capture this summer and is looking for a limited number of customers and/or channel partners to give it a workout within their capture environments.

Designed with ease of use and simplicity in mind, Datacap FastDoc Capture boasts a sleek new interface, an easy way to add new documents and index fields, and tight integration with Microsoft SharePoint.  Index data can also be exported as a flat file and easily converted for any ECM repository on the market. Datacap FastDoc is scheduled for general availability in the Autumn of 2009.

What's Involved?

FastDoc Capture requires no programming to set up and the only hardware you'll need is a stand-alone PC. If you wish to test FastDoc with SharePoint, there will be some set-up of the tables, but Sharepoint integration is not required to be a FastDoc Beta tester.

You will be asked to run documents your organization typically scans and indexes for archival purposes through FastDoc Capture for a period of several weeks, and then report findings back to Datacap.  Beta testers must be existing Datacap customers with up-to-date maintenance agreements or certified Datacap Channel partners.

To learn more or volunteer, send an e-mail to marketing@datacap.com.

Find out what your peers are doing with Distributed Capture.  What kind of documents are they scanning?  How many sites are integrated?  What types of scanners are being used?  What is the prevalence of MFP's in the distributed scanning world? And perhaps most importantly, where are cost savings coming from?  Don't miss this important topic.
