Certified SAP Integration
Datacap Joins SAP Partner Program
If your organization uses SAP as its Enterprise Resource
Planning (ERP)system for invoice payments, Datacap Taskmaster for Invoices can
now perform lookups inside SAP as well as deliver verified invoice data
directly to SAP. With the availability of Capture Link for SAP® NetWeaver®,
Datacap provides seamless integration with SAP. Datacap also announced
acceptance into the SAP Software Partner Program.
Taskmaster for Invoices eliminates the manual data entry of
supplier invoices to speed processing and reduce costs. With Capture Link for
SAP Netweaver, all incoming invoices can now be scanned, identified, matched
against order data, and entered directly into SAP.
This more open exchange between Taskmaster for Invoices and SAP results in
faster processing, which helps customers avoid late payments and take advantage
of early discounts.

FileNet P8 and Capture 5.0 Support
Greater Flexibility, Improved Performance
Convergence between applications and systems is one of the
strongest trends in business software. For FileNet, the P8 platform is
represents a unification of its Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and
Business Process Management (BPM) applications onto a single platform.
Continuing Datacap's commitment to tight integration with
FileNet, Datacap Taskmaster now supports P8. Datacap's latest integration means
that FileNet users can rely on a completely integrated solution, from capture
to storage. Datacap customers, such as Georgia-Pacific and Hawaii Department of
Tax, are using Taskmaster for document scanning and data capture, delivering
images with index values directly to FileNet Content Manager and Image Manager
residing on the P8 platform.
But Datacap didn't stop with P8. We also made sure that
Datacap Components run inside FileNet's latest release of Capture (version
5.0). Datacap Components are native FileNet components that add forms
processing capabilities to FileNet Capture. Filenet customers use Datacap
Components to add optical character recognition (OCR), intelligent character
recognition (ICR), automated data validations, export formatting, and other
forms processing technologies to a FileNet Capture Path. Customers, including
Nationwide Insurance and Orange County Courts of California are using Datacap
Components, running inside FileNet Capture, to automate the processing of
documents to speed processing time, reduce cost and enhance accuracy.
"FileNet and Datacap share many customers as a result of its
valued and extended partnership. With every new release, we have worked closely
together to ensure that FileNet solutions are optimized for integration with
Datacap's robust capture solutions," says Datacap CEO Scott Blau. "As our many
FileNet customers migrate to the P8 platform, as well as to FileNet Capture
5.0, they'll find that their Datacap applications will continue to support them
with accelerated processing results, reduced cost and increased accuracy."

New Survey Report On Distributed Capture
Sponsored by Datacap, Canon and TAWPI
The study identified the key factors driving organizations to distribute
scanning and capture across their facilities, partner networks or customers.
Datacap partnered with Canon U.S.A, Inc. and The Association
For Work Process Improvement (TAWPI) to conduct the industry's first customer
data-driven survey exclusively focused on distributed capture benefits, success
factors and barriers.
The online survey was completed by more than 300 document
management professionals. Survey results were analyzed by Power Decisions
Group, a marketing research firm based in San Francisco, and a report will be
published November 15.
Some of the results may be surprising. For example, cost
reduction is NOT the leading factor in implementing distributed capture. In
fact, it's not even in the top three. While there are some implementations with
more than a 1,000 dispersed scanning sites, most organizations involved in
distributed capture are spreading scanning around to just 5 sites or less. And
contrary to what some experts are saying about the prevalence of Multi-Function
Peripherals (MFPs), less than a quarter of respondents are using MFPs to scan
documents.

Capitol-Image Specializes In Claims Processing
Two union pension funds select Taskmaster for Medical Claims
Capitol-Image, a Los Angeles-based Datacap reseller and
partner, is implementing two systems to automate the data entry of medical
claims for union-based pension funds. This summer, Operating Engineers Funds of
Pasadena, California and the Carpenter's Southern California Administration
Corp. selected Taskmaster for Medical Claims to move from manual data entry of
CMS 1500 and UB-92 claims to automated.
Operating Engineers Funds Inc. is a non-profit corporation
that administers the employee benefit programs for members of the International
Union of Operating Engineers (I.U.O.E.), Local 12, and their dependents and
beneficiaries. Most of Local 12's members work in construction as heavy
equipment operators, mechanics, concrete pumpers, soil testers, inspectors, and
surveyors.
Capitol-Image linked Bowe Bell + Howell scanners with
Taskmaster for Medical Claims, integrated with a Hyland OnBase document
management system.
Likewise, for the Carpenters Southern California
Administrative Corp., a non-profit pension fund serving carpenters and other
laborers and their families in southern California, Capitol-Image recommended
Bowe Bell + Howell scanners. Their document management solution for secure
storage and retrieval of claim images, is Captaris Alchemy.
Both Taskmaster applications will be installed, tested and in
production by the end of the year.
