Datacap Release Taskmaster 7.5

Building on the success of the award-winning Taskmaster 7, the latest version of Taskmaster is shipping. The new release contains a number of significant enhancements which broaden Taskmasters’ capabilities, offer performance improvements, provide additional applications, and increase utilization of industry standards such as Web Services.

Highlights of this release:

  • Enhancements to Datacap Studio include new hotkeys, automatic synchronization between rule and actions, better fingerprint handling including the ability to search fingerprints, and more
  • Authentication and authorization of users in groups using either Active Directory (AD) or Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
  • Taskmaster management of the OCR process detects when a recognition engine fails and automatically restarts processing beginning with the failed page
  • Support for new versions of Scansoft (Nuance) and RecoStar recognition engines
  • Optional high-performance server based Fingerprint Service where fingerprints are loaded just once, greatly reducing response time for subsequent usage
  • Support for Actions written in .NET. Optional Datacap Developer Kit required to create .NET actions
  • Smart Parameters provide Actions with dynamic access to batch information, enabling a high degree of configuration and control
  • Taskmaster APT is the new Accounts Payable Technology invoice application from Datacap. It is built for use with the Datacap Studio and has a new look and many new features
  • Taskmaster Flex is a new application that provides easy document identification and data extraction for any document type. Taskmaster FlexID is the component of Taskmaster Flex which provides simple page identification without the use of separator pages
