The documents are stored in the
DocFinity repository in its Native format. DocFinity
Security can integrate with Active Directory/LDAP authentication to support
single sign-on. The DocFinity
solution’s architecture and pricing model is extremely scalable. Organizations
can start small and grow the solution as needs grow.

Q: Is the worklow client software thin or thick client?
A: The DocFinity Workflow client is a true thin client. Any workstation that can access the Internet can access Workflow. In addition, the DocFinity Workflow Client can be called via a Web Service from third party applications.

A: Yes, Datacap Taskmaster can perform data capture on any electronic image file.

within a Workflow can be auto-flowed into another flow and/or a back-up flow
based on business rules.
Q: How did you capture the image and coding info.? Internal scanner? Vendor? OCR? Zonal OWR? Etc.?
A: In the invoice example in the webinar, we used dynamic field finding on a paper invoice to capture the specified fields.
Q: Once a document has entered the workflow, can it easily be modified by others within the workflow? (Updating information as necessary, making corrections, attaching additional documents. etc)
A: Absolutely. Those
who are part of the workflow process have the ability to modify a document or
documents. All user activity is
tracked within a secure audit trail within the database.
In addition, documents can be added or attached to an existing documents as part of
the workflow process.
Q: Can a document in workflow be edited?
A: Absolutely. Documents
can be edited as part of the workflow process. In

Q: Is the Wordfire functionality in Taskmaster 6.5? We're running Taskmaster 6.2.
A: The Wordfire functionality has not yet been released, but will be available separately as web service.
Q: Is Invoice data entered automatically to the ERP system ?
A: If
part of the workflow process, the workflow can be configured to automatically
update the ERP system and/or have the user execute the ERP from the workflow
queue and add the information manually.

Q: How do you enter an email into the workflow without scanning?
A:
When configured, the reception of
an email can execute a workflow process.
The process of getting an email in the DocFinity repository can be done a number of
ways. Users can manually drag/drop
emails from their desktop into the repository (as part of the workflow process
if needed) and index accordingly. The
DocFinity Email Manager provides the ability to automatically capture
incoming/outgoing emails and attachments.
Q: Can you control system tasks too? Tasks that are executed between person tasks.
A: The DocFinity Workflow Designer provides the ability to control all aspects of the workflow including server steps.
Q: Will Datacap's Taskmaster replace the imaging component of DocFinity? If so, how does this affect pricing for the DocFinity suite?
A: Datacap’s
Taskmaster does not replace the DocFinity Scanning Front-End, but rather
enhances the scanning process by providing advanced data capture functionality. The
DocFinity Scanning Front-End is still included with the licensing of the
DocFinity Core Engine.
Q: Is anyone doing wholesale remittance processing using your software?
A: I
am looking into this.
Q: Can documents be stored in a third party repository?
A: Through Web Services, the DocFinity Workflow Engine can process objects stored in a third party repository.
Q: To do barcode scanning, do I need work flow?
A: No. Taskmaster
can extract index information from the barcode. Taskmaster
then exports the images and index information to a flat file. The
DocFinity Object Importer takes the exported file and imports all the images
and index information directly into the DocFinity solution.
Q: Is your system available on the web as an ASP service?
A: OIT
